Barbera is inherently high in acidity and low in tannin by comparison to most other varieties, making it a great choice for California vintners wishing to craft versatile, food-friendly wines. Famed vintner Jed Steele has managed exactly that with this wine, which shows full ripeness but remains admirably bright even with a few years under cork. Very well done. A Platinum Award winner at the 2017 San Diego Challenge International Wine & Spirits Competition.
