The black devil shows its face in California, and he’s in a good mood, with candied raspberry balanced by bright vanilla and fall spice. Bright acidity and soft tannins keep things together, and the finish brings a sweet oak note forward. It’s ready for medium to strong cheeses or a seared sirloin.
