Symington, Douro (Portugal) “Altano” 2021 ($13)

As a guy who prefers his fruitiness black and purple, it is sometimes difficult me to cozy up to the sometimes in-your-face red fruit of the Douro table wines. This one won me over with no problems – very granular texture with red fruits, a hint of earthiness to go with the dusty tannins and a nice tangy twang at the end.
