As with all of Neil Collins’ wines, the aromatic development here is incredibly attractive. This wine literally blows ripe strawberry and raspberry fruit by the rim of the glass, adding light spice notes along the way. The palate offers bone dry delivery of the fruit, with complementary oak toast and soft brown spice deepening everything. This will really sing with roast chicken or turkey. I have three Paso Robles wineries at the top of my recommendation list, and Tablas Creek is one of them. Contains 44% Grenache, 33% Syrah, 19% Carignane and 4% Mourvèdre.
