Thorn Hill Vineyards, Lake County (California) Old Vine Zinfandel 2014

 Here’s an old vine Zinfandel that shows solid varietal character — brambly fruit, great fall spice, and a zesty note in the finish that keeps everything popping.  There is no overripe or over the top action, just perfectly balanced Zinfandel.  This will age a bit as well — I’d love to check back in on it in ten years.   A Platinum Award Winner at the 2018 Critics Challenge International Wine & Spirits Competition.
