Fashioned much more in a Bordeaux rather than a Loire Valley style, this is a supple yet powerful wine, full of dark fruit flavor enlivened by just a hint of vegetal undergrowth. Its appeal comes as much from its texture as from its aromas and flavors. With just enough tannin for necessary structure, it is soft, smooth, and seductively easy to drink.
