This $20 Super Tuscan handily over-performs at its price point. The first thing I noticed about this wine was the well integrated structure which includes fine delicate tannins. It is nicely balanced, overall, with light oak notes, fresh fruit, and a subtle earthiness. Tolaini’s “Al Passo” is the perfect bottle when you are unsure what you’re looking for but you know it’s red.
