This is one of Tor Kenward’s single clone bottlings from the Beckstoffer To Kalon vineyard. The wine is big and chunky and has a rustic note. The aromas are compelling and open with dark fruits such as cassis, black plum, and blackberry. Ripe green notes of tobacco and sweet herbs, anise, and licorice add layers to the palate. The wine is big, fleshy, and broad with ripe tannins that linger through the long finish. While the wine is delicious now, cellaring is recommended.
