Sometimes vintages make virtually no difference. I tasted and reviewed (and praised) the 2016 rendition of this wine in the spring. The 2017 is now available, and it is every bit as exciting. Just like the 2016, what proves most compelling about it is the plethora of spicy secondary flavors that complement the fruit and add both complexity and intrigue. One thing to note: the wine has plenty of taut acidity, so there is no need to worry if you have some of the 2016. It’s drinking as beautifully as this one.
