The 2012 edition of “Mas La Plana” Cabernet shows an effortless character in all important dimensions… aroma, attack, mid-palate and finish. In sensory terms, this translates into a balance of power and grace, with excellent integration of wood with fruit, and fine balance between the sweet ripeness of the fruit and the structural grip of the tannin. Already very enjoyable with food, this has a full decade of positive development ahead of it. Once among the world’s most famous Cabernets, this fell into eclipse for a while, but now is clearly back in top form.
