This recent addition to V. Sattui’s stable of Zinfandels is worthy of the line, with bright acidity, blackberry compote, black and white pepper and a little clove note in both aroma and flavors profiles. It is bigger than you might expect from Russian River Valley, an AVA known more for Pinot Noir, but it works from start to finish. Grilling time!
