Another impressive red from this new winery. While its estate vineyard matures, it sources from established vineyards. Tapteil is located on the west side of the Red Mountain AVA. Harvested in late September, the wine was aged for 15 months in 2 and 3-year-old French oak. Aiming for a big style, it hits the target with lovely rich raspberry, cranberry aromatics with background hints of licorice and pepper. It is big and mouth-filling with silky, seamless flavors and moderate oak spice.
