A very correct Rhône-ish, GSM styled wine at a bargain price. The nose brings blackberry, black cherry, tar, pepper and notes of leaf and spice. On the palate, a fair amount of new oak makes for a spice driven wine with the fruit and tar coming forward in the finish.
