There has been fruit for sale in the Napa Valley of late, which means that there are labels that will pop up and proudly display the region on their labeling. There is nothing wrong with this of course, in fact it is very common practice in the world of wine. The oddity here is that this fruit doesn’t come to the bulk market very often, so you can get a flagship AVA at a price well under that charged by the famous labels. This wine fits the bill with classic valley character, bright acidity, a moderate hand with the oak, and a long, dark finish. Well done.
