Weingut Felsner, Austria () Grüner Veltliner 2020

 From the family’s 15 ha terraced vineyards in the Kremstal region, this is an excellent example of what makes Grüner Veltliner Austria’s signature wine.  It is all about pure fruit, hand harvested, and after a gentle pressing the wine is aged 5 months on the lees.  Straw colored, it needs no coaxing to reveal its stone fruit, citrus aroma with a light mineral hint.  On the palate it is rich, smooth, with a beautiful texture.  It delivers plenty of juicy fruit flavors with ample acidity providing good structure.  It ends on a crisp, fruit-filled finish.
