A remarkable achievement at this price level, this wine is packed with flavor and structure, and yet it manages not to seem overblown or unduly rough. That the vintner managed to draw this much flavor from the fruit without the wine coming off as over-worked or over-extracted is quite impressive. Obviously, for $16, this is not the most complex Cabernet from California, and yet I would be hard pressed to think of another that could match it for sheer bang for the buck. Platinum award winner at the 2013 San Diego International Wine Competition.
