This stupendous Cabernet Sauvignon was made by Charles Smith, who sold his eponymous company, Charles Smith Wines, in 2016 to concentrate on new projects, including Wines of Substance. A sleek and generous wine, it is beautifully balanced, and both deep and long on the palate. It will pair beautifully with a wide variety of foods, and I can tell you from experience that it’s a perfect wine to serve with a nice steak.
