Here is a nice buy in a true New Zealand style Sauvignon Blanc that doesn’t lean too far into grass or gooseberry – there is just enough to let you know where it hails from. Citrus, stone fruit and passion fruit are fine tuned on the nose, and the palate adds a little saline note. It is well balanced on every front, and will make for a value priced oyster accompaniment. This may explain the label’s ongoing sponsorship of the Oyster Recovery Partnership, which plants water filtering oysters in the Chesapeake Bay. Nicely done on all fronts!
