If there is one grape variety that seems to flourish considerably better in one terroir than any other, it is Viognier in the northern Rhone. That caveat aside, this wine has complex floral flavors of tropical fruits with some fruit peel notes and a few savory accents that combine for a flavorful, lightly viscous presentation. And add in a few hints of tannins.
