This is an excellent Vermentino that could at least hold its own with the finest renditions from Sardinia, Liguria or the coast of Tuscany. Medium-bodied, with fruit recalling figs and apricots, it shows fleshy texture in the mid-palate but nicely grippy texture in the finish. There’s just a hint of pleasant walnut skin bitterness in the finish, which nicely offsets the rich opening flavors. A Platinum Award winner at the 2019 San Diego International Wine and Spirits Challenge.
